Frequently asked questions in the transport industry

We have compiled the key questions we regularly receive from our customers. If you require additional information or more detailed explanations, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What types of consignments do we transport?

We specialise in organising the carriage of general cargo and full transport packages. We handle both standard and ADR hazardous goods. At the request of the client, we also provide refrigerated transport.

Upon receipt of an enquiry, our expert team immediately begins a detailed analysis of it. Experienced customer service specialists implement, verify and modify transport schedules on an ongoing basis. They examine the characteristics of the load, the planned route, the required deadlines, select the appropriate type of vehicle and prepare a personalised price proposal. For those interested in a quote, we encourage you to fill in a dedicated quote form.

The LDM is a unit that defines the number of square metres of trailer loading space occupied by the goods.

Yes, we also transport goods on 120×100 cm industrial pallets. Unlike EURO pallets, these are not exchangeable, but have a higher load capacity. You can find more information about the types of pallets in our blog.

The standard bus has dimensions of 4.2 x 2.2 x 2.3 m or 4.9 x 2.2 x 2.3 m and accommodates 8 or 10 120 x 80 cm Europallets respectively. Its capacity is 3.2-4 LDM. We also have trucks with larger capacities.

A typical trailer has parameters of 13.6 x 2.45 x 2.75 m (length x width x height) and a capacity of 13.6 ldm.

One EURO 120 x 80 cm pallet takes up 0.4 ldm on a standard trailer.

Theoretically 13.6 ldm ÷ 0.4 ldm = 34 europallets in two rows of 17. In practice, due to dimensional constraints, 33 europallets are taken as standard.

Refrigerated transport mainly covers foodstuffs, fruit, vegetables and pharmaceutical products.

Temperature control can be checked through a report from a thermograph - a device used to continuously monitor and record temperatures in the refrigeration space.

Depending on the type of goods, specific vehicle requirements are determined. We make every effort to ensure that our vehicles are suitably equipped and meet the requirements of the individual storage facilities.

Standard equipment includes:
